The Hunter’s Divine Revelation

A hunter once saw a strange sight: a fox who had lost two of her legs. “How does she survive?” he wondered. Then he saw a tiger approach, carrying a deer in her mouth. The tiger dropped the deer, ate her fill and departed; the fox ate the rest. “This is a sign from God!” the hunter thought. “I must trust in God.” He no longer hunted. He sat. He waited. “God will provide!” the hunter thought. Days passed. As he was about to faint from hunger, he heard a voice. “Be like the tiger,” God said, “not the fox.”
